I ve searched for an hour and cant find a dedicated Area419 ZERO press and accessories thread so Ill get it going and sticky it.

If there is one already and maybe just hasnt had any posts in a long time so its many pages back let me know and ill delete this and sticky that one. But its not coming up in search.

I finally switched to a ZERO from my trusty 550c.

Picked up a ZERO Gen2 on sale from Brownells during labor day sales along with additional turrets, modular shellholder set, Inline Fabrication Ultramount, zero sidebin system, Roller handle and turret docks.

Finally got it all setup today and 2 toolheads loaded up.

While I didnt have any issues with my 550c setup, it was a pain to switch between calibers having to do a caliber conversion kit and toolhead change. Also had 19 toolheads and now 3 turrets to replace them is awesome.

I love the Inline Fab roller handle over the handle that comed with the Zero. Inline Fab sideline system is great to drop brass into or store tools.. I just ordered Inline Fabs universal double tray system that bolts to the back of the Ultramount and has articulating arm and holds 2 bins. Nice to have above and behind the left lower bin to grab cases and/or bullets from. I had one of these on my 550c and loved it.

    Hope it sticks for you... I went Co-Ax -> 550 -> Zero -> back to the Co-Ax -> back to the 550 ;)

Less tool heads to keep track of is nice.

I did similar.. I still have 5 other presses with 2x1050's, 2x650s,RCBS RC along with this ZERO in my shop.

I dont load pistol or rifle plinking ammo on this press, that's all done on Dillons. Its just for my precision ammo

What shell holders are you guys using for tasks like decapping only?

Using the Area419 modular shellholder set for this stuff it all gets super dirty.

Do you just use a regular old shellholder for this stuff?

I decap in my sizing process. I think decapping is a wasted step. Less time in load room = more time on range. I use the modular shell holders from area 419 too.

I went Pacific (Hornady) > Co-Ax (Bonanza) > XL750 > Zero. I still mostly decap on my 750. I do a quick wet tumble - no pins - before decapping so the whole process is pretty clean. I had originally kept the Pacific for decapping but once I started using the 750 with the case feeder it quickly became the tool of choice for decapping everything. I’m still doing some case prep on the 750 but using the zero more and more.

The Zero is a beautiful tool and I’m enjoying it. I have the Zero die rings and modular shellholders as well.

For my mass processing and loading of 5.56, 300blk, 9mm, 45acp, 10mm thsts all done on my 1050s and 650s..

I keep a Mighty Armory decapping die in my toolhead to pop primers out to take measurements, etc..

Yeah - 750 does mostly pistol. Good idea on the decapping die. I use the MA on the Dillon - I think I have another one around here to drop in a Zero Toolhead.

I went and bought a Zero right before the gen 2 was released after my Summit broke. I only use it for sizing and seating, I still use my RockChucker for decaping. I use to size and decap on it, and seat on the Summit.

But as for the Zero, it seems like a really great press, and super consistent, so far I like it allot.

Loaded a bunch of 223 precision rounds on the new press the past few days and everything has been great. Really happy with the change over the 550 I used for many years.

Just picked up some more Area419 Zero accessories from @xb52hcc Super good dude and he has a brand new zero and a bunch more accessories hes unloading if anyone is looking.

My Inline Fabrication articulating arm mount with double bins came today. Had one of these on my 550c setup and used it every loading session.. put your ready to load brass in this bin and bullets in the other to grab and put in shelholder, then drop loaded round in the lower bin.. or put your lubed brass up top when sizing and drop sized brass down below. Love the Inline articulating arm!

Love my ZERO. I had a Redding T7 before it, that I felt had too much slop so I gave it to one of my employees as a housewarming gift.
I've found that the ZERO does NOT get along with Lee and Hornady shell holders, but it works great with Redding shell holders.

Got mine on an inlinefab mount. I'd have more accessories for it, but my bench is too small... LOL.

Got my gen 1 on discount and glad I did A++
was using a coax but couldn't use my instant indicators
    seaters are there to stay.
use seater to make first round for setting my infinity die
so I swap them out as needed along with the indicator minus 6ARC .

Noob to this site but I sold my Zero press. I could not get it to size/bump Alpha 6CM brass with the 419 dies. I went round and round with 419( super responsive and helpful) but I could never get it to work. I even sent in my dies to 419 for them to get inspected. Suggestions from Area 419 included different lubes, different annealing and finally measuring tools. I tried Imperial, One Shot and Alpha lubes. I bought a new induction annealer and finally measuring tools they suggested. I was already using SAC measuring tools. The only way it would bump my brass was if I held down on the die body while running the ram and this was obviously inconsistent. I watched the setup video over and over and even talked to them on the phone assuming I was missing something. Out of desperation for an upcoming match I put my old Chucker into service and the brass sized spot on over and over. I have read here and other places when I was struggling with the Zero that some people have had to run a die into the rear of the turret all the way in until it contacted the rear of main press body to stop turret flex. I inquired with them if my press was flexing and they said no way but offered for me to send it in at their expense. At this point I was tired of messing with it. I just saw this week they have a refurbished press sale. Maybe that is why there is a Gen 2 now. It is a beautiful press on the bench and my only reason for posting is maybe someone else is pulling their hair out wondering what the heck is going on. IDK

So your saying your measured your fired brass, then tried to bump it back 0.001, 0.002, 0.003 and after sizing measurement of shoulder bump didnt move at all??

I dont use Area419 dies, but im using SAC, LE Wilson, Forster and Redding and have zero issues bumping shoulders.

So far ive done 223, 6br, 6 dasher

That is correct. I would get zero bump unless I pressed down on the Area 419 sizing die.

This could happen if your chamber is on the short end of SAAMI. My M-Series die can only size 6GT back to go gauge -.0005". Cranking down on the micrometer does no good because the sleeve is already making contact with the shell plate. I had to start setting headspace to go gauge +.004" on my barrels because of it.

You sure did spring for tool heads! And that articulated bin holder is pretty slick. I have the tool head holder from 419 that mounts to the back of the Zero and it sometimes gets in the way. I use the Mighty Armory decap die at 419's suggestion. The decapping pin on my sizing dies were pulling the spent primers back rather than sending them down the tube into the primer tray. Had several spent primers get caught in the ram and mess up the finish on the ram and maybe a bearing too. There's a slight chatter on the ram's up-stroke now because of it. I'm using regular shell holders btw. RCBS, Redding and Hornady. They all work fine.
