Taco Bell's not only food, it's the greatest food ever. I might need an intervention. After the Taco Bell I'd try to secure as much .22 ammo as possible. Then I'd try to come up with a plan.

In my bug out bag. Yes I have one, but try not to make fun of me. I hope and don't expect to ever use it. This is a walking bag. I would hope if the shtf I could bug in or drive out with all my gear. This is a house is on fire and the British are coming bag. And it was fun putting together.

Glock 24 + 400 rounds
CZ 452 lux + 1 brick of high velocity
Compact cleaning kit
Fixed blade knife
Binoculars Minox
Flashlight small surefire with detachable red filter
Fire starter
Small radio
Pencil paper
Tape
14 MRE
High quality water filter
2 water bottles empty
2 emergency blankets
2 high quality ponchos
Bottle salt tablets
Misc aspirin and such

I'm forgetting about 20 small items but all this fits in an external frame Gregory backpack. It seems I'm constantly dropping items in the pack. The pistol is in a holster on a belt ready to go next to the pack and the rifle is in a scabbard attached to the pack frame.


In my car I keep walking boots, a gallon of water, a poncho, flashlight and my concealed carry piece.


EDIT: I left out the most important item. There's a pint of whiskey and a can of tobacco in that pack.

All you guys bringing condoms, are you all married or do you think there will just be a sudden surplus of females in a shtf/end of days scenario? My personal hypothesis is "no" and if it turns out to be "yes" then I don't know if I'd want what they were selling. End of days probably doesn't offer the opportunities for frequent showers or bikini waxes. Or did I miss an essential movie?

Oh no that weapon never leaves my side. I wipe the sweat off in the evenings and I don't leave it in the truck. Not for fear of it being stolen but because I don't want it to rust. I carry a blued j-frame .38 that I've been carrying so long there's no thought in wearing it; like putting my wallet in my back pocket every morning. I use a buckskin shoulder rig with a Galco holster. Sometimes in summer I'll carry other pistols on belt holster.

Whenever I see these types of threads this is the first thing that comes to mind. He mentioned "Zombies" and I realized the context that we were dealing with. If he had stated "Civil Unrest" it would have been more believable.

There are three nuclear plants upwind and within a hundred miles of my home. It's where I was born and where my business is. If one of the plants were to have an accident my wife and I could very well be evacuated. There is a nuclear emergency horn about a quarter mile from my home.

ive got my kit sitting by my bed, plate carrier, carbine, sniper rifle, rucksack filled with enough water and food to get me through the day at least. GPS loaded with markers to buried re-supply boxes distributed throughout northern wisconsin and a few down south. And an evac plan for my cabin up north.

Condoms? Really guys? One of two things will happen:

1. The human race is wiped from the face of the earth, so wtf with the condoms? At least enjoy the last sex you'll ever have.

2. The human race survives but the population is devastated and the task of reproduction falls on your shoulders anyways so you might as well get a head start. Worst case you'll crank out troops and build your anti-apocalypse army quicker in order to fight whatever the hell people think is gonna fuck our shit up.

Just sayin....the condom idea is stupid. Viagra, however, is a good idea. Go out with a bang (or two or three or 63. You get the point)

Unlubricated condoms can be used to store water in an emergency. You'd need something for support to ensure the condom didn't rupture, (socks work).
