Picked this up a few weeks ago from a local pawnshop. It had just come off of pawn and they wanted $595 for it so I jumped on it. It is a 139XXXX serial number which is a Remington it looks like and a Colt slide. Overall I would say it is in pretty good condition. It has the SA and FJA on it so it looks like it was a springfield arsenal rebuild. Cool gun and I thought I would share. I am seriously thinking about sending it out to have a match barrel and bushing fitted.

I like it, but then I'm an old bullseye shooter.

I am seriously thinking about sending it out to have a match barrel and bushing fitted.

Why, I'd take is out and put a couple hundred rounds through it first to see if it needs a barrel and bushing, might already have one judging by the shinny bushing.

Outstanding find at an even more outstanding price!!!

I have a bullseye 1911 setup on an Auto Ordnance frame/slide with the full-length Bo-mar rail/tuner on it. I've done a ton of work to it including frame/slide fitting, new barrel/bushing, and various other improvements/refinements, but they are VERY capable pistols indeed. Enjoy it!!!

The barrel is a series 70 stamped barrel. I have some atlanta arms match ammo I am going to use to see how she shoots. If need be I am going to put a schuemann barrel in it with a fitted bushing and call it a day. The trigger is awesome as it sits now though.
