I understand every rifle is different and powder that is best in one may not work worth a dern in another. However, having said that, if you were to recommend one powder to start building loads for a .243AI - 1/8 twist 26" Shilen - 107Gr. Sierra Match King, which would you recommend?

Take your pick of the slow ones. The 4350's,4831's,RL-22,all are favorites. Pete

I'd take them in the following order

H4831sc - Slow, well suited to the case, very temp stable and consistent
H4350 - Faster than H4831sc, very temp stable and consistent
RL22 - Similar burn rate to H4831sc but this is temp sensitive
RL19 - burn rate is similar to H4350 but this is temp sensitive

My rule is always use H4831SC whenever I can.

I see some guys talking RL25 but I think for the really heavy bullets only.

Can't believe nobody has mentioned H1000 for the 243AI. Then again, H4831sc is real good too.

RL 22 for me ...it is temp sens in extreme heat only....otherwise no problems
