I'm enjoying my dinner with my bride and I hear the phone buzzing in the den, so I ignore it.
It stops, and then goes again. Dammit!

Hello
Brother - Are you alright?!
Yeah, why?
Tiffany told Susan she heard you had a heart attack, and then Susan said she called you and didn't get an answer!
I'm eating a fucking salad! WTF?!
Well I guess you're alright then.
Yes, I am fine. Tiffany is stupid, and probably on drugs.
Ha ha.
Bye.
Bye.

Are you kidding me? I'd of milked that like a Dairy Cow. You coulda got a ton a chores done around the place without lifting a finger, sat back and had a drink on the porch, and watch the world go by. Of course when the cat got outta the bag you'd be mud, but the lawn would be done and maybe some touch up painting........

He's had issues in the past, but doing well now.

Near attack in 2005 led to 4X bypass surgery
Feb 2016 another near attack led to 4 stents - 2 in the old pipes and 2 in the grafts

I switched to the low carb diet after that one and have lost 40 pounds.
They ran me on statins for a year, and the numbers came down, but not as low as the doc wanted, so he pushed the insurance company for the new injectable drug, Repatha, which works on a different level than statins. It also doesn't produce the side-effects of liver damage and muscle pain.
I've been on that for about 8 weeks now, and so far have experienced little to no side effects or problems with it.
Retail is about $14k a year. I pay $5.00/month.
I told them I'd gladly pay more and to use the money to help some other folks, but of course that makes no sense to them.

I need to get a profile done soon to see how the drug is doing. I am hopeful.

Because of the stents I still take a thinner. I'll have bruises appear on me and have no recollection of what I did to make them. It doesn't take much at all.

Un fucking believeable, but so true. Its called treating your fellow man the way you'd like to be treated. They just dont get it.

Despite our occasional mis understandings on here, be well, old man.

It sounds like you're certainly doing your part. I hope for continued improvement. Hang in there!
