Picked up a Remington 700 pss need info

Father-in-law has. A Remington 700 pss in 7mm remmag which he changed the stock on . He wanting to sell it and was wondering a fair price on it l??? I can not find no info on it at all thanks!!

You might call Remington. I think 1986 might be far enough back, that they were making the 700 PSS in the custom shop. The 7mm mag is also a pretty rare version of the 700 Police. Those two things confirmed might make it worth buying an original stock for it, to put it back in original condition, and raise what fair price might be considerably. This is pure speculation. I have no idea if its worth more if so, Just something to look into.
 
April 2005 if that's a factory barrel. It is parkerized like it should be and the barrel and lug appear original. The stock it came in was an HS Precision, not unlike the one it's currently in. And the upgraded stock on 2005 looks exactly like that one, so I'd bet it's still in a factory stock. You'd likely get 6-700 for it if the buyer wants to shoot light bullets and doesn't know the twist rate of that gun likely won't support shooting heavy for caliber bullets.
