Viral video spread on several social channels, purportedly showing Philadelphia police using "fake blood" after a shooting standoff.

Maybe the real conspiracy is getting people to believe in stupid conspiracy theories so they look like retards and provide cover for what the gov is actually doing.

However, in my personal opinion, the "fake blood" story is the most ridiculous thing I have heard lately. Often times in the "heat of the battle" you don't have time to do a pretty job of apply antiseptic.

I thought I was pretty well equipped first aid wise. There are usually two additional TQs nearby in addition to the one on my body and besides issue first aid bag (big) I have two IFAKs nearby.
Stop the bleeding, start the breathing, protect the wound, treat for shock.
Iodine/antiseptic wash debridement is for higher level care.

Thanks to hepatitis and HIV in the hood, most patrol cars in forward thinking depts have decontamination kits, with said antiseptic spray.
In one of my former iterations, that of department purchasing agent, I bought those kits and issued them out...

Yes your typical alcohol based sanitizer fluid is available and ready at hand.
That stuff aint liquid pour on iodine though.
I work more rural mainly with people that can afford cars.
If I was urban dealing with folks that carry their belongings in shopping carts concerns about TB/Hep etc would be more pressing.
Still though mask/hand sanitizer - bottles of iodine is for the ambulance.
Noted the one party reaching for gear on his belt.
So no antiseptic applied that was blood.

When your hands are covered with blood and the equipment is secured in a smooth plastic packaging someone has designed the most cruel and evil joke out there. Luckily another worker rendered the cutter a non threat and was able to apply the TQ.
Job is reevaluating gear now.
