spoke to the game warden. He said first step is to put the signs up, and mark purple. From there, we can prosecute if needed.

The man that lets me hunt on his ranch had a stellar year. #1. A bowhunter with permission to hunt told the man he put a "real good shot" into a deer but could not find any sign to track. 2 days later the owner sends the bowhunter a picture of a doe with an arrow sticking out of the shoulder. The bowhunter had the nerve to say that was not the deer he shot. The deputy took all of a minute to look at the archers arrows to prove an exact match. A wanton waste ticket. #2, A man and a woman with permission to hunt deer only, the man of the team was photographed on the lower part of the ranch 3 times. The owner asked why the man was on the lower part without permission, the man told the owner he "was trying to push the elk up the hill" so his wife can shoot one of the bulls in the herd. Tresspass permission revoked and a tress pass warning issued. #3, two young men ask permission to hunt the upper part of the ranch, permission granted. The young men are then photographed at 3:21am walking past the camera on the lower part of the ranch. 20 minutes later they are photographed walking back out. 5 minutes later they are photographed driving back in. An hour later they are photographed driving back out.
The next morning the owner finds a Holstein cow shot in the head and left to rot. It was very easy for him and I to follow the tire tracks to and from the cow (fresh snow, fucking idiots) Tresspassing ticket, liable for the cost of the animal, loss of weapon used and probably the loss of their hunting license for a few years.
People wonder why it's so hard to get permission to hunt private property. Once again, us true, respectful hunters are paying for the actions of others.
OP, when you catch the tress passers, prosecute them as fully as you can, please.
