There was an interesting video I watched a while ago with that fool on CNN talking to some British lady about this very thing.
She said that something like 400 British sailors lost their life trying to stop the slave trade, are these peoples families to be compensated as well? Many in the American navy died as well, same for those families, There was a time when moving a person from point A to point B by any means was internationally illegal, and all the major countries interdiction missions to stop it, even Russia. It is a little like pirates off Somalia every "big" country is there.
The how do we address those that sold the slaves to the traders. The people that moved them on the boat never went into the heart of Africa, they stayed on the beach.
