I remember when that happened. And I thought to myself, how did he know they were transferring the pedo to a change of venue that day. And which gate and terminal and which bank of phones to be at. I think he had some information, kept his mouth shut, saved the world one step at a time, and others did really good at keeping their mouths shut, as well. There's supposed to be a chain of custody on classified documents. I believe that is why potato's/lawyers didn't shred them when they were located. I say located because someone was trying to find them for a reason (audit?). Log book shows that they were checked out and never returned. Potato Joe's lawyers were notified about the documents not being returned and they went looking for them.
My guess is that there's plenty of other "not returned" documents and they know who's supposed to have them. Nothing like having a good blackmail card in your back pocket.
