Or, just make the 1.5x overtime pay rate kick in after 32 hours.

I've always said the number one solution for lowering unemployment is to mandate any hours over 40 in a week to be paid at 2.0x the normal rate. The current 1.5x rate after 40 hours has not been enough deterrent for employers to stop running their existing employees into the ground with excessive overtime. Make it 2.0x after 40 and you will likely see some more employees getting hired.
and then you have police and other pension beneficiaries that "work" overtime before they retire to jack up their pension benefits.

Oil patch was 1.5x from 40 to 50 hrs. 2x after 50 hrs. Worked 65-70 hrs per week - and gave uncle Sam waayyy too much for my trouble.

I always changed my withholding rate when a long stretch of overtime was expected. That way, Uncle didn't get to accumulate too much of my money that I would have to struggle to get back at the end of the year.

The tariff's are not working...

ELIZABETHTOWN, Kentucky, March 13 (Reuters) - U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen on Wednesday said President Joe Biden's administration is taking steps to ensure success of the domestic electric vehicle (EV) industry in the face of China's growing exports in the sector and heavy government subsidies.
Asked whether the United States needs new tariffs on Chinese EVs, Yellen told reporters at a new battery materials plant in Kentucky: "I don't want to get ahead of where we are, but it is a commitment that President Biden has made ... that we're going to want our domestic industry to be successful."

Where is the $4.1 million coming from ?

The Federal Trade Commission announced on Wednesday it is refunding $4.1 million to 27,584 consumers who fell victim to student debt forgiveness scams.
The action follows a 2019 complaint the FTC made against the operators of Mission Hills Federal and Federal Direct Group, alleging the organizations have been tricking student loan borrowers out of their money since 2014.

luckily. biden imported 8-20 million illegals to fill in for us.

Lol! What would I do with the 5+ days of the week I have left?

There is another bill introduced here in MN to give almost 160,000 ac of State owned State Forest Land back to the White Earth Band of Minnesota Chippewa. Also to give the Tribe the first right to purchase any forfeited lands.

This is happening in my home county where we farm. "They" are also pushing to gain regulatory control of any Tiling, Irrigation, pesticide and fertilizer use. With their end goal to drive property values down and get all the land back... Unreal what's going on.

this is how they force you to cashless

no federal law says you must take cash

there are some state and local laws, I could not find a complete list

States such as New Jersey, Massachusetts and Rhode Island have laws in place

If the dems are really worried about poor people (and we know they are not) then there would be a federal law to require taking cash. Lots of poor people do not have cards. Or maybe the answer is the govt gives the poor people debit cards for free with money on them.
Oh the irony. Just back in July I and my family were refused entry into Rocky Mountain National Park outside of Grand Lake, CO because I wanted to pay in cash. I should have just drove on in, but being on vacation we regretfully complied.

I guess the dumb shit found out that no one gives a shit about his little pissy fit and the financial hit was enough for him to compromise his beliefs.

Maybe not the same “battery materials“, ever since the Coppertop moved production to Chyna the quality has deteriorated that we refuse to use them, Rayovac for anything that needs batteries. While I’m complaining about batteries let’s not forget about InterState another brand name since moving South of the border ain’t the same’ole they once was. Maybe the treasury secretary should talk about hyperinflation and over production of the dollar has the US on track to collapse faster then the Weimar Republic.

Exactly ,as it's designed to force Bytedance to sell the business to a three letter agency friendly US billionaire or tech company.

National security threat is absolute BS as was the case with Huawei is just about breaking up competition to US social media companies, would be nice if they also forced divestment of Google , Facebook and co....

The the more dangerous part is exactly censorship, these definitions will be wide and powers to censor broad , anyone who voted is either retarded or a just a deep state swamp creature.

But the Irony of it all is that push to ban TikTok is actually due to Israel losing public support and blame for that is laid at TikTok an gen Z folks. Its bizarre how much legislation is being pushed in US to undermine 1st amendment on behalf of Israel

What is being created here in America is this:
Should you trip and fall on the sidewalk, the young people will laugh and walk around you. Maybe even take a streaming video. Never will they ask if you are OK or need a hand to get up...

They will learn: What goes around comes around.

AI truly is garbage in and garbage out. Given the stupidity of the "geniuses" putting AI together I'd say we're fucked.
Next it will go fuck a goat! (y)

Yup. Notice it also specifically designates apps. Think ballistic apps, crypto payment apps (so you have to use CBDCs), Bible or other religious apps (hate speech), etc. The power would rest solely with the Executive branch. How any citizen thinks this centralization of power and negation of the First Amendment is a good idea is beyond me.
