Bet 99% will never learn basic math like this
Basic fucking math. Are you kidding? It’s a wonder with today’s eduction system, they even recognize numbers. When I was teaching, my students were so married to electronic calculators, they could not do even the most simple basic algebraic equations. (2 + x = 3) Can’t conceive numbers in their head. Not even counting fingers. Nothing. 8th and 9th graders.
And this common core junk. Nothing like making something simple and doing the best possible to make it impossibly hard. I’m surprised talking books have not replaced reading classes.
Education has become nothing more than tax payer funded child care. We really need to go back to basics.

Don’t get me wrong. In Jackson Parish we have a lot of teachers, doing their best to see our young people have real usable knowledge in their heads. My old high school, Neville of Monroe, seems to be working hard to be a top Education facility (along with being one of the best high school football factories int he history of High School Sports)

IIRC, it got changed during the O'Bozo administration , but before that there were some pretty tight restrictions on what could be purchased with food stamps. There were a few allowances but it was pretty much limited to foods that had to be prepared at home.
