This pic reminded me of my nighttime and summer job bagging groceries, and stocking shelves after hours all through high school, and even into college… I’d see these single moms coming in with 3-4 kids in tow (sometimes more), and they’d just be loading up 2-3 shopping carts with really nice cuts of meat, high end condiments, fresh bread from the bakery, etc. Then they’d whip out that coupon book of food stamps to pay for it all.
Back then, they couldn’t pay for alcohol or cigarettes with food stamps, but they’d always have a roll of cash big enough to choke a horse to pay for that stuff.
I’d bag their stuff up, and would take it out to their car…invariably a late model Cadillac, Lincoln or some other higher end car that my family couldn’t dream of owning. It would piss me off every time… Guess I got red pilled early on from that shit, and after watching a very large percentage of my paycheck go to funding welfare babies (and their governments) all over the world for the past 45 years before my second retirement, I’m just done.
I’m sure there are folks out there who honestly deserve their welfare benefits, but after a lifetime of paying for their shit out of my hard-earned paycheck, I have absolutely zero sympathy for any of them.
Not a single one.
Guess we’ll see what happens come this weekend when (hopefully) the gravy train on biscuit wheels comes to a screeching halt…
