PRB Bullet Jump Article

HAH I was literally just reading this. I'm interested to hear some replies as well...

Since I'm limited to indoor ranges nearby (closest outdoor range is 2+ hours away), my biggest question now is can you apply the "Satterlee Method" to seating depth.

They pretty much did in that article but i definitely think that it would have to be done at distance.

Yeah they were more focused on actual impact displacement although there might be some correlation to velocity from the looks of their data table ?‍♂️
Yea I kinda wished they would have showed chrono numbers but either way. I guess they used more or a ladder test method but imho that’s all the Satterlee method is just minus the target and strictly looking at the speed.

After re-reading this, I think I'm going to just set my depth at .100" jump and reset it back down after 600 shots or so. I just don't have the time or resources to go full-autistic on both powder charge and seating depth and since "further from the lands" is the most forgiving, it shouldn't matter too much so long as you're not touching the lands. Guess I'll find out in the long run...
