Picked up this R700 Gen2 308 here on the Hide, promptly put it in a McRee G10 chassis. Also put a PA brake and Timney. 2 MOA with battle pack ammo. 0.5 MOA with FGMM. I now have a take off stock and bottom metal to sell over on LRH.

Took out a new MRAD today and AXSA with a 308 barrel on it. The MRAD has a 6.5 Creedmoor barrel and was using 140 Grain ELDM, 41 grains of H4350 and once fired Hornady American Gunner Brass.

Bore sighted the MRAD and first 3 on paper.

This replicates nothing. .308 Win, Krieger 1-12”. If I had to do over again I would not use the PTG bottom and AICS mag on this rifle (I like them just fine, just not on this rifle). So, I’m building another in .30-06.

Went out to the flat range tonight to test a new load. I had to wait for the locals to have dinner before I could finish my shot string at 400Y.

Got this back in 2007 after waiting over a year for the action to come in. It was around the time Nesika was going out of business, unknown if they would continue somewhere else. It was almost like forget about it, then I get a call from George telling me the action showed up and 'do you still want to do the build'? Im like of course. :)

I want to get it scoped and take it out for a run.... any suggestions for scopes?

Full disclosure...this is a dumb question from someone just trying to educate himself.

    I shoot the 107 SMKs in a 6cm and you shoot the 107 SMKs in 6GT. I load 41.2gr H4350 and you load 34.5gr H4350 according to your post. That's ~7 grains!!!

It's probably something simple, but what explains such a big delta is your powder charge vs. mine for the same grain bullet?

Wondering if I should be coming down a ton...

Simple, case size... 6 CM is much larger... 41.2 gr would probably not even fit into the case.

Little more Americana @ 200 Yards again today. Just loving these 6GTs.

Tried out another new target, liked it but I think a circle with white in the center would suit me better with the 3x27. My old eyes are getting hard to see that dot in the orange.

Greetings all. I'm new here and totally dig this site. This is my new Savage 110 LSS in 6.5 Creedmoor. I through on my Burris 5x25x50 optic and adjusted my length of pull to 15" (not seen in photo). They did a great job on this weapon and I'm doing real well at hitting at 760yrds. No complaints here!
