How about a precision bolt action "pistol"?

This is built from a bunch of leftover parts, so it's kind of a Frankengun, but I'm still thinking it should do pretty well.

Barrel was off an 9.5" Arms Tech Compaq 16 upper I used on my M4 in Iraq. Was never drilled for a gas tube. Had a gas trap on the end. Take that off, and it's 8" long, very stiff, and was (in Iraq) very accurate. Hoping it still is. The Hogue grip was also a leftover from Iraq. Sentimental value having the grip you held onto, and the barrel you shot bad guys with on a new build.

The AR-Stoner side charger never got built, and barrels, and parts started going "out of stock" when the plague hit, so I used it here. Had to cut the alignment tabs off the rail due to the thickness of the billet upper. The scope, and bipod are leftovers from another rifle when I did upgrades, but I did have to order the new mount for the scope. The very nice smooth JP trigger was left over from when I put the Echo-II in my SBR. I was just going to do an upper for my SBR, but decided to get a new lower. Had to get one replaced from Larue for warrantee, so I went ahead, and ordered a new one while I was e-mailing the guy. The lower is the only new part other then the scope mount. (I did buy 3 x 10 rd mags) The flaming pig was leftover from WAY back, and has been on several rifles. Was just gonna go with the A2, but the pig goes to the end of the bipod legs when folded. Looked better. They gave me a blem for the warrantee, but this one is perfect... go figure... No gas tube, so no spring or buffer... Hope to zero and test it out soon.

Updated the BMP with a KRG Bravo chassis which I find incredibly comfortable. Shooting photos is about the only thing I can shoot while hoarding what little ammo I have...

I also recently picked up this GG&G bipod. It's pretty close to what I would consider the perfect bipod for my use but I don't like that the panning feature can't be completely locked. I may do a little JB Weld project on it... KRG Spigot attachment coming soon too.

Groups in the .3s @100 and makes easy work out to 1k so long as you call your wind. Low impact on the ipsc is my buddies shot doping his rifle before I shot, with the snow it was too sloppy in the field for our vehicles without tearing up the farmers field🤷🏼‍♂️When your walking you certainly make less trips to repaint😂

My first custom.. Only been at this long range precision thing since November, bought a Bergara B14 BMP in 6.5CM, then an RPR in 338LM, decided I love this shit and had this built by the amazing folks at Altus.

Chassis - MDT ACC with USMC Red cerakote
Action - Impact 737r
Barrel - Bartlein 24" M24 1-8 (6.5CM)
Trigger - Trigger Tech Diamond pro curved
Brake - Area 419 Sidewinder
Bipod - MDT Ckyepod
Optic - ZCO 527 MPCT3
Mount - Audere Adversus

Thank you so much to Josh at Altus and Richard at CS Tactical for getting my stuff to me ahead of schedule, and making sure I'm dialed for the Frank and Mark class at Pala next week!!
