Here's my humble setup. It's a 40-XBR action, a run of the mill 5.5-22 NXS and Robertson Composites Tac stock. Haven't fired it yet, but it will see lots of use this summer! It's a .308...for now. Once I wear out that barrel, who knows, perhaps it will be a sassy 6.5 of some flavor.

Very cool looking rifle. I'm interested in the groups, as well as some donations instead of spending money on those noslers;)

I have not heard of anyone having luck with the 175s at speed?

They are 10thou off and just shoot on matter how hard I pushed the up in the mid 3450 3460 still around .5 just hard on brass. Have enough to burn this barrel out so I'm happy

This is my rifle in progress. Its a T3 sporter 6.5x55 with a shiney new 3-24x42 March / Spuhr mount, Hardy's suppressor. I haven't fired a single shot using the new scope so fingers crossed.

I'm really curious about the buttpad adjusted up so high. Cannot wrap my brain around how you could possibly use the cheekrest without breaking your neck.

I was just trying different settings. I may actually need to update the pic soon as I may be switching to an AICS chassis.

Ah cool. You had me going there and I thought about it way more than I needed to.
If you go with an AICS I would heartedly recommend the adjustable butt on it. Made a world of difference, along with the spacers.

Heres my updated 20" Remington. Started as a SPS tactical and still has the factory barreled action. Leupold 8.5-25x50 w Hourus retical and M5 mil/mil turrents. MK 4 rings and 20 MOA base, Accuracy first level and Timnwy trigger. Jus dropped it in the AICS chassis and added viper skins. Forgot name of muzzle brake. Tubb firing pin and Atlas bipod w sipke feet.

Shot group was while it was in a HS precision stock. The three out side rounds were while adjusting zero and the three in one group was the end result. Used FGMM 168gr factory loads at 100yds. Calculator says .2 dispersion.

Some crappy pics of my Souther Precision Rifles built R700 in 308. MTU contour barrel at 20", Surefire brake, Manners stock T4, Bolt fluted by Longrifles and Razor scope.

Here's my new LRI build. I ordered it before I deployed last summer and Chad delivered it in person to my family in January while doing the SHOT show thing (I'm sure they told you, but thanks again, Chad). Obviously I haven't handled it yet, but from speaking with my family members, and the few pictures I've got from them, I'm pretty happy as I sit now-- Impatiently waiting to get home and take it for a test ride.

SS Rem 700 SA action and LRI's recoil lug
Bartlein 1:8" twist .260, finished at 22", Rem. Varmint contour, LRI 7-flute pattern
Manners MCS-T stock, LRI full bedding job and paint (colors are a little "blue" in the lighting in my house).
Jewell trigger
PTG DBM
EGW 20 MOA 1913 rail

Once I get back, a Leupold Mk6 3-18x44 TMR, Turner sling, and a Harris bipod will find new homes on this rifle. I've got about 2,000 rounds worth of components sitting around and cannot wait to get home and burn through it.

I should be moving to near Rapid City this summer, too. Stand by, local wildlife. :D

Leupold Mark4, 6.5x20x50mm ER/T Mil-Dot Reticle

Thanks to the information I got here on "The Hide" I was able to add the Kydex cheek piece. She isn't much to look at but she shoots true.

After collecting the parts for the past few months, I am close to done (minus the finish).

Specs:
1980's Remington 700 ADL action
Remington factory 308 heavy fluted varmint barrel
AX AICS with 20MOA action and fore-end rails
Leupold Mk4 6.5-20x50 H58
Leupold Mk4 High rings
Flatline ops accu/level

Just a GAP Crusader, Nightforce F1 Mil-Spec scope, and your other typical basics. My first venture into the modern bolt gun world.

I just picked this up from the gunsmith yesterday, it's chambered in .308. I bought every piece of it except the Remington SA receiver and billett PT&G bolt here on the Hide. The barrel is a Bartlien 5R M24 contour, McMillan A5, R&D bottom metal, McMann MIRS rail, Jewell trigger, Noveske KX-3 flash hider, Leupold LR/T 8.5-25X50mm, Badger rings, the PT&G bolt has an M-16 extractor and fluted firing pin. Jason at Jack Kiester Custom Rifles bedded it and did the camo Cerakote paint job, he painted the stock, barreled action and MIRS rail all separately, when the rifle is assembled the camp pattern lines up on all three pieces, the camo pattern is under the MIRS rail so it can be removed and the entire barreled action still has the camo. The PT&G bolt fit the action so tightly he couldn't cerakote the body, so he micro-slicked the bolt body and painted the handle and shroud. He didn't paint the mag or bipod because I forgot to take them to the shop.

I didn't have any other background to take the picture with because I still have a foot of snow everywhere.

You definetly started in the right direction. I love the looks of a Crusader no matter how many times I've seen one. Wished I could afford one some day.
