Here are a few of mine.

6.5 SAUM still needs some Cerakote to make it "look pretty" Looking forward to see how this one develops! Just got the first few rounds through it today.

Barrett model 99 50 BMG on the left, Remmington model 770 30/06 on the right with Nightforce 5.5x22x56 on the right

Put the 770 to work! :)

Put the Barrett to work....against Bambi! :)

Putting the Creedmoor to work! :)

Holy shit the location on the 9/2010 picture is absolutely stunning! Where is that located? Great collection too btw!

It was amazing country! That was in the Absaroka Beartooth Mountains in Montana. We did a drop camp up there with Absaroka Beartooth Outfitters out of Big Timber Montana. Spent 8 days in some of the most beautiful country in the world.

Shot my bull later that same day with the 30/06, it was a funny story, the outfitter who dropped us off thought we were fucking nuts for humping that fifty around in that steep ass country. I hiked it in the day before opening day and set it up on a burn area at about 9000 feet. I set up a separate camp and just left the fifty at that spot. We sat on that burn until mid-day where we could see a good 1200 yard area with no luck. We left the fifty at the "secondary camp" and hiked up on top at noonish (figuring nothing would be moving in the middle of the day) The guide had told us that up on top (10,000 feet elevation) that we "may" be able to get cell coverage.

So we hiked up there to see if we could call the wives. I took the 30/06 up there as it is light to carry. We got to the top and were walking around on the top of the ridge like dipshits with our cell phones up in the air trying to "get a bar of coverage" and we spotted a bull way out in the distance, out of our range with our hunting rigs. Probably around 1200 yards, it was an early season rifle hunt in the back country of Montana and the elk were still in the rut, so we were able to bugle him in. I dropped it at 300 yards, he was charging in fast and was ready to kick our ass!

We were able to get a text out from up on top letting the guide know we had a bull down. When he came in he very excitedly asked us if we "had got it with the fifty?" When I told him no, he was very disappointed, he said, "everyone in town was rooting for you crazy bastards humping that fifty around in this country!" That was an amazing hunt, first time that I had seen a bull get called in-in person, I have seen the archery guys do it on the hunting shows, but most rifle hunts the rut is long since over with, it is something to behold seeing a nice bull come in stomping at the ground and raking trees with his antlers and wanting to kick your ass! Good stuff!

.308 built on a Stiller TAC 30 action by Tooter Meredith of Rogersville, AL
Manners T4 mini-chassis in Multicam
Fluted Bartlein Barrel, threaded
SS 5-20 HD in Badger low rings
Cerakoted in Burnt Bronze

I haven't worked up a load for this one yet, but it did pretty well with 168 gr FGMM (.565" group after only 10 rounds through the rifle). It's a joy to shoot compared to my other Rem 700 in .308. The extra weight really helps with the recoil.

EDIT: I worked up some loads using Varget and 168 gr SMKs. It seems to like light loads as my best group came at 40 grains.

And this one was a month later in Dickens Texas. 300 yards and heard the bullet smack him.

Just got this back from Phoenix Custom Rifles. PCR put the barrel on and Cerakoted it along with other gun smithing services to make it what it is, a work of art. PCR really goes the extra mile by doing a lot of little extra things that most smiths wouldn't think of doing or over look on a build.

AICS 1.5 Chassis
Bighorn Action/lug
Timney trigger
Bartlein 20" 5R, threaded, 1/10twist, M24 contour
Cerakote FDE

My rig is probably a little dated compared to what some of you guys are shooting. It was the best I could afford at the time ...

McBros Custom Winchester Model 70 (1994 Revision) .300 Win Mag
McMillan A3 Tactical
Schneider Barrel
Leupold Mk IV 10X
Warne Rings
Jewell Trigger
Parker Hale Bipod

McMillan 600x450.jpg

Hopefully soon it will have a CDi DBM conversion and a 3 Port Muscle Brake ...

I wish my girlfriend would believe me, I guess I'm just a bad liar.

I just went to Stockys and ordered an A5 in the same color pattern as your 6.5x47L build. I don't know what I'm going to put in it, but I'll have one.
