Been awhile since we've had a discussion here about the finer things in life aside from shooting. I bought myself a little Veteran's Day gift a week ago. I'd been thinking about it for awhile and decided the time was right since the wife wanted a turkey and a ham smoked for Thanksgiving day.

I added three thermometers down near the meat racks where they belong and fired it up yesterday for the first time. This replaced a Weber Smokey Mountain Cooker which didn't have enough capacity so loaded this one up with three large pork picnic roasts and a rack of spare ribs.

We had the spare ribs for dinner last night. The flavor was excellent but they could have used another hour or so on the smoker to soften up a bit. No one was complaining though.

After dinner I pulled the pork and ended up with 13lbs. Gonna be some good eatin around here come dinner time.

Very similar I believe. I've still got some work to do to get it running like I want it to but that's half the fun.

I was wondering if switch would chime in!

Girlfriend had a pulled pork sandwhich at Quizzno's, not bad for the price.

I may have to take a trip over to Dixie's BBQ in Kirkland!!

YUM!
