Today I received my Legend 1200 ARC - it's my first LRF. Purchased it from an ebay reseller for $268.00 shipped. It's brand new - wasn't sure with the low price - and it's not a factory refurbished unit. I considered the Elite 1500, but I couldn't find any with the ARC feature. Besides, I really didn't line the rectangular form factor. Doesn't have the specs or capabilities of the higher priced units, but I could pass on the price of this unit.

If it performs as advertised, I'll be satisfied.

Re: Purchased Bushnell Legend 1200 ARC

I like mine a whole lot, however I did just have to have mine replaced under warranty. One day it just stopped ranging. Everything else worked. Changed batteries, everything. No ranging. I live in KC and drove it over to the service center and they took a look at it right then thinking I was doing something wrong, they couldn't get to give a reading either. They ordered me a new one on the spot. So far the new one is working fine.

Good unit, and they took care of me quickly on the warranty replacement!

Re: Purchased Bushnell Legend 1200 ARC

Played around with my new LRF this morning. I'm pretty impressed with the performance of the Legend 1200 ARC so far. Most of my testing was done between 100 - 500 yards. Spent quite a bit of time ranging between 300 - 500 yards, because that's where I have found my eyeball estimating to get real questionable. The LRF is teaching me shots I previously past up, as too far out for 1 shot kills on game, are well within the capabilities of my equipment and skill. Should have invested in one years ago.

What I like:
- small light weight form factor
- easy to setup and simple to use
- ranges very quickly and with repeatable results

It will be a while before I find out if the BDC and slope functions are of benefit to me.

I do like the angle functionality, but I have discovered that the BDC feature is pretty useless, especially when using mil/mil setups (they have CM, IN, and MOA as options for their built-in BDC). For me it's easier to get the reading, check my DOPE card and either dial in or hold over.
