I know this has been talked about here before, but how much poi shift are you guys seeing from day optic zero to nv clipped on? On my current ar set up i had to move up 2moa and left 2.5 moa.

That is WAY too much. You should definitely be < 1 MOA of POI shift.
The 30s are some of the most reliable as far as getting their prisms out of whack.

Have you mounted any other NV units on the same rifle and obtained good results?

Is there any way you could mount the same unit on another rifle or friend's rifle, preferably one with a monolithic rail or know good performer with other NV ? The goal would be to rule out any mounting geometry issues that may exist on your current rifle before sending the unit back for a check up.

I thought it was a little much. I can try it on another ar this weekend. Should I also try removing it from the same rifle and re-mounting it to see if things change?

Ok, while Im asking for help, another question. Is there any adjustment to the mount? On a couple other rails i have the QD is very tight. i don't mean snug, very tight. No instructions came with this at all, and i can not find any info about it.

FWIW - you may try backing them both all the way out and then giving them equal turns in, in the hope of being square to the rail.

Also rail variances - I always grab the unit and forcefully push / pull a couple times to make sure there is no movement, but have as light of clamp pressure as possible (b/c that thing seems a little dainty).

YMMV

Ok, I was able to get my rifle and get to my range before dark. This is the part that I hate to type, But the problem was me! Elevation on my day optic was off one moa. Windage was off 1.5moa. I feel like a dumb ass now. I should have checked that before I mounted the nv. I had check the zero about a month ago and it was good. I re mounted the 30 at another dot beside the dot I shot before dark. Elevation was perfect. Wind was off .5. I then removed the 30, re mounted it again to check and see if poi moved. It did not move. The last six shots was no more than 1.5". This was at 85yds. I hate eating crow like this, but its not the first time. So thanks to all of you that tried to help with my problem. Sorry for taking up your time.

I feel better knowing it was me not the devise. Its always a pain to send stuff off and have it repaired. When I first received the 30 i mounted it up one night and shot steel to 365yds at my short range. Though things were gtg. re mounted on same gun the other night before a hunt and checked impact. thats when i noticed something was off. I made my adjustments and took it hunting. And killed one coyote with it. Thanks again for the help. If someone would have said ,"Oh thats normal to off that much". I wouldn't have checked it at this time.
