Question about the Atlas Bipod

Guys, I just acquired an Atlas from one of the hide member here. He said it's new. I notice that the knob at the bottom of the bipod is kind of rather tight. I can only loosen it a quarter of a turn enough to pan but won't tilt. Is there a locknut inside the plastic cover on the knob to loosen in order for the knob to be able to turn freely. Any help will be appreciated.

Knob doesn't turn a whole lot.... Everything is just tight from being new...it tilts, it's just new and tight.... . It will loosen up with use.

Put it on the rifle, loosen the nut as far as possible, and it will pan and tilt. It will be stiff, but will loosen up with time.

I've been using mine for about a year now and its just starting to loosen up.

That's how you can tell its new... Kinda like Cramey said, just like with a woman it will get looser with time and use

The good thing about the Atlas is you don't have to buy it an $18,000.00 ring on your anniversary.... Wait you do have to buy it a $10,000.00 rifle though.. Yep it's still the same

LOL, thanks guys. Yes I was able to loosen it a bit more and I was able to get it to tilt and pan. I guess it was true what the guy who sold me the bipod said. It's a virgin.
