Quick Shot Challenge: What’s the dumbest shooting myth you’ve heard?

Bullets stabilize after 100 yards, so groups at 300 will be tighter than 100
This and the 50 BMG kill radius are both the dumbest, from an abject stupidity perspective.

The one that got us christened diapers hide on other forums, “pick a speed, use quality components, and drive on” should win this contest though, ‘cause that came from here as much as anyplace else. We should reward our own retards first.

“My .338 win mag will drive lengthways through a 600 pound black bear but it’ll explode if it hits a leaf on the way.”

A guy I bought a dog off years ago actually said that shit , while telling me the bear he had mounted in the garage was well over 600 pounds ; while it was smaller than my first bear that weighed 380.

True story: I was at a local gun show and the ass clown behind a table was telling another ass clown that this ammo was sniper ammo. Ass clown #2 asked how he knew: you ready: the circle with the crosshair ammo is “sniper ammo”. Get da fuck out!! 🤡🌎
