Quick X-Mark trigger question

Re: Quick X-Mark trigger question

Yeah I adjusted mine down as much as I could and that screw does stick out kina far, and I still wish the pull was lighter. Maybe a new trigger is in my future.

Re: Quick X-Mark trigger question

As soon as I fired my 700P in 223 I knew I'd be replacing that trigger. I just couldn't get the x mark to adjust light enough for me. I normaly use Jewell triggers but got a deal on a Timney and haven't looked back.

Re: Quick X-Mark trigger question

Just remove that "adjustment" screw from the trigger paddle altogether. Seriously. The real trigger adjustment screws can't be accessed without pulling the action from the stock. Here are instructions for making real adjustments:

And when they say the screws are hard to brake free, they are not kidding!

Re: Quick X-Mark trigger question

good tip, I just took the screw out and the trigger pull is pretty light now, not sure exactly how many lbs but its better than it was.
