Well, I’m not having much luck. Ruger Mk4, shoots well at 25 yards but sprays them with the suppressor. I’ve tried alternating baffles, ensuring it‘s tight on the barrel, inspected each TI baffle, cleaned and reinstalled - but it still sprays them like crazy. Any suggestions?

With suppressor . Aim point lower right diamond.

Update....
Looks like a nylon washer was the trick. Groups from 10, 15 & 25 yards.
Now to figure out why.

Glad you got it worked out. If I had to guess, the suppressor is threading to far and the crown of your barrel is interfacing with your first K baffle. The washer is adding just enough space to keep it off the baffle. Do you have another host firearm to try it on?

Anyone tried drilling a small Dater hole in the blast baffle of their QB 22?

I wonder if that would help some with FRP.

I was just reading about that, I think it may reduce backed pressure more than it would affect FRP. The BC size usually determines FRP.
That's pretty much what I've gathered while reading about it on the web.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with the QB's suppression...after the 1st shot.

I haven't noticed any FRP with my QB .22 kit. All rounds sound the same. I do run mine"wet". I coat the baffles with dielectric grease because it makes disassbly easy and clean up a paper towel wipe affair.

I have used compressed air and it works ok. Last weekend I decided to pour a drop of water down the muzzle end of the suppressor and that completely removed the FRP. Just wasn't sure how much water is too much so I only did it once.

So, you just coat the entire baffle stack with the dielectric grease? How many rounds does it last?

I only notice a FRP on my pistols, may have just a slight FRP on may 7.5" and 16" AR barrels, but just barely louder. I attributed this to the threads being longer on my .22lr AR barrels, putting the barrel crown closer to the first baffle. My Beretta .22 conversion and GSG 1911 .22 have very noticeable FRPs.

Does the grease "splatter" all over the shooter? Does it help with lead build up cleanup on the baffles?

1000? I coat all the baffles. After 1000 rounds I can push the stack out with my finger. I do it for ease of cleaning. If it helps with sound suppression, that's good too.

I've only shot the can on a SW compact .22 pistol. The thread adapter doesn't have an undercut so the QB's mount wont index with the shoulder. I have to use a spacer which pulls the crown even further away from the blast baffle.

I do plan on picking up an MP15-22 this weekend.

FWIW, I'm using the QB on a Taurus TX22. Great host. Also on a Tikka rifle. I have a commercial can that is quieter on the pistol, but I prefer the QB on the rifle.

Has anyone heard about the Brandywine TI .45 baffles shipping? I thought they said mid-March but understand if that got delayed. Haven’t gotten a shipping email yet..
No. On April 10th, they responded to my email about delivery timeframe, stating...
"Good afternoon,
We have filled all the SS orders and some of the Ti orders. We are working through the orders on the Ti parts as quickly as possible with the restrictions from the PA Governor and the COVID19 problems.
We are expecting to finish out the rest of the Ti parts next week.
Thank you,

Brandywine Safety Products
Thank you for contacting BSP for your solvent containment needs. Please see our website FAQ for answers to most questions. We look forward to serving you."

Now nearly a month of hoping and waiting for something I was told would ship 3 weeks ago, I emailed...

"When can I expect my Ti order to be shipped? April 10th you stated orders will be done and fulfilled that week. That has long come and gone. When I ordered my 2nd Ti kit +2 cups, from my understanding, my order made the 10th ordered needed as you were struggling to have enough orders to justify. Its been over two months to fulfill 10 orders. Please ship my order to me immediately."

I'll keep you updated on here with replies. At this point I'm just happy I paid with a credit card. Hope I'm wrong, but confidence is low we will see these.

Interesting tid bit. While testing the accuracy of the 22 QB, I used an iPhone dB meter (SPLnFFT) to measure the suppression. I don’t remember the exact figures, but with a Ruger MkIV with standard velocity rounds, pretty sure the drop was about 10 dB. From ~95 down to 85. Here’s some interesting numbers I found...

dB-Drop Survival Rate

Code:
1 dB Drop 79% of your noise has survived
3 dB-Drop 50% of your noise has survived
6 dB-Drop 25% of your noise has survived
9 dB-Drop 12.5% of your noise has survived
10 dB-Drop 10% of your noise has survived
20 dB-Drop 1% of your noise has survived
30 dB-Drop .01% of yoru noise has survived

I asked here about using an IPhone app when I got my manf suppressors. EVERY response made fun of me saying those were worthless for suppressor evaluation. Interested to see what everyone says now!

I didn't sell you or anyone here anything. Whats keeping me from running this down? How about I didnt sell you anything and have no ties or relations to them. They were a local company I asked if they could make something, they said they needed a minimum and I posted that. You didn't pay me, I didn't run a group buy or anything like that. Also, I have no idea who that person is you are posting.

Damn, any reason why? I just pinged you in the other thread then read this one. Definitely not asking you to bust down any doors lol, was just hoping to be able to complete my first Form 1 can with some premium parts.

Receiving daily emails and threats being made isnt something they were interested in. It was easier to refund everyone their money.

I think some people forget we are in a stay at home lockdown order still here in SE PA and things aren't business as usual.

Oh gimme a fucking break. I emailed him once. He didn't respond. Didn't threaten anyone. Called once; didn't leave a message. If I was "locked down" and wasnt making chips, I could certainly return a fucking email to at least the person that facilitated this whole deal; you can't have it both ways. Jesus I'll cut my own.

Wait you emailed him once and your asking me why I'm not "running him down for you?" Which one is it? I sent the owner a copy of your message and they refunded all of your money.

Lol, sorry we asked about something that was told would be done over a month ago with zero response from a person that was paid up front.
Asking about something is completely different then calling me out by name publicly and asking why I'm not running them down and implying I'm friends with them and then posting Google maps and pictures of random people.

Thats not, I just sent them an email. You could have PM me.

Calls and emails aside your post above with pics and addresses would be over the line for me. I get the delay and bad come in these times. Not all do.

I dont have any skin in this game. I didnt get paid or promised anything from them. For a lot less effort you could have PM and asked if I could help but instead you handled it the way you did. I forwarded your post to them and they said everyone's getting refunds. End of story

I posted the address of Brandywine off of the OnxHunt app which comes from public county tax records and from their public listing on Facebook, along with the owner's name on his public Facebook page. Were you not concerned the guy was 100% silent? Was he sick? Dead? Im assuming you met this person at least once and shook his hand? No?

All the info you posted is not the same company, owner, address, etc. I dont know who that company you posted is..

You didnt PM me. How would I know you had a contact issue? How could I be concerned about something I don't know about? I didnt order Ti baffles...i got my SS baffles...If you PM me I could have rectified this an entirely different way.

I was not concerned at all. Several businesses I work with have been silent with the stay at home orders. This would have been the first buy of this type I have been involved with on time. They are almost always late, part of the deal in my opinion. Different tolerance? More trust?

Hello everyone! Got all my paperwork together to form 1 a Quiet Bore .22 "solvent trap" but not sure what kit to buy. I'm reading mixed opinions on what material to go with. Some say aluminum is good enough for .22 if greased/kept clean, some say to do the first cone titanium and the rest aluminum and then others say to skip the aluminum and go with titanium. What do you guys think? I am just questioning the cleaning process with each material. I own a case tumbler but I assume you can't run the aluminum cones in there with a good medium to clean them, but I am also okay with a little elbow grease to clean it as well.

I'd like to get an order in soon since they are 2-3 weeks behind, which isn't a big deal since its going to take 30 days or so for my form 1 to be approved.

Thanks in advance!

I’m by far not an expert. I think Aluminum is fine for .22, and having the first baffle Ti will enhance it. However, I purchased an all Ti model as the price was worth it to me not to worry about.

I’m still waiting on mine, but the quality seems good online.
