Building a retro 700P with an old badger ordinance ,m4 floor plate I had laying around. Had the HS stock inleted at Badger, and everything fits. However the screws seem too short. When the floor plate is flush in the stock the screws are maybe a little more than an 1/8 of an inch above bedding, and thread in enough for me to torque but it seems overly short. Maybe an 1/8 of an inch of free threads. Am I safe or should I hit napa to find screws and fit? Or am I worried about nothing?

With the metal in place, does it feed right? Or do you need to inlet the bottom metal deeper into the stock and thus the screws would then be correct once the metal is in the right place?
New longer screws are easy though
