Looking for some input on an issue I had today at the range I have never experienced before.
Some details on the rig for context
TL3
Proof Pre-Fit .223
Razor gen 2
manners TCS
75 eldm lapua brass 24gr varget

So I have ran this same setup for about 900 rounds now and has been a solid performer.

Today mid range session my zero shifted 8mils up. I couldn't understand what was going on and went to a 100 meter paper range. I checked torque specs on everything ( action, rings, base) nothing was loose. I re-zerod the gun and everything grouped fine and held zero.

My thoughts are something in the optic shifted.
Next step is checking the torque spec on the barrel and head back to the range to confirm.

Anyone ever come across an issue like this?

Thanks I appreciate the input. I think for my own mental sanity I am gonna pull the optic and send it in for vortex to look at.

You can if you want but I’d try the simpler check first and save shipping time and having to remount. If the screws just weren’t snugged down enough it can happen.

It coukd be a waste of a trip considering the most likley culprit is the turret cover slipping. Rezeroing and shooting it some is the quickest way to validate that's the problem. Anything else that coukd cause a shift that big is going to be easy to detect just trying to zero.
