Hello, I apologize in advance if this isn’t the correct forum for this location.
I am new to long range shooting. I found that my biggest hindrance to shooting out past 600yds is my inability to spot my misses and make appropriate corrections. I shoot by myself so don’t have anyone to call my misses/spot for me. I was thinking about purchasing a spotting scope and a phoneskope and recording with video the target and then playing it back in between shots to make my own corrections.
However, I am not excited about purchasing a spotting scope as it seems the price you have to pay for quality is high and and they are not very practical. I would much prefer to get a very nice set of Binos, which have much more versatility. And it seems from my reading, most people are jettisoning spotting scopes anyway.
My question is, if I were to purchase a razor UHD 18x-56 and a phone scope, would the 18x hooked up to an iPhone provide what I am looking for? The ability to spot misses out to 1000yds with a 6.5CM?
