I have a new one. Trying to throw a charge. It works fine for a few and then it overthrows by up to 0.3 a grain. It doesn't tell me it's an over throw. It reads as if it's correct. BUT when I drop it on the 505 beam scale it shows up. And no, it's not a simple difference in scales. The 505 will read several as perfect, then comes a heavy charge. The CM Lite rarely under throws and if it does it's only by 0.1 grain. Yes it's properly warmed up. No air flow in the room. Yes it has been properly calibrated. Any thoughts?
Thanks!

Send it back. I havent had any issues like that with mine.

On another note, is there anyway you can turn off the beeping.

Its not an overthrow due to the opening from what it sounds like. It sounds like the scale isnt working correctly. He said he weighs it against another scale and it is truly in fact off by .3

Shouldn't it read out as an overthrow? Mi Chargemaster Lite shows up as over if it throws too much powder, happens once or twice every 50 throws. Sounds like something is off on the scale.

OG Chargemaster you can turn off the beeping, it has a terribly loud harsh beep. I don't think you can on the Lite, the beep is quieter than the OG. Do what I did, during your teen years make sure to shoot rimfire without ear protection and listen to heavy metal music really loud. By the time you're an adult and buy a chargemaster lite your hearing will be destroyed roughly in the frequency range of the beep and you won't be able to hear it.

I agree. The computer is saying it accurate and its truly not. I have a tenth over once in awhile. However .3 can be dangerous.

Do you have your cell phone with you in the room, or florescent lights? Other things plugged into the same outlet?

The electronics in the scale are very sensitive. And stray rf can freak it out.

I added a rf choke to the cord, leave my phone in the kitchen, and I have a good results ever since

Yea I would definitely send it back. Insert is not going to help if scale is reading charge as the correct weight. I have the lite and do get an overcharge every 20 rounds or so. I just dump that charge back in hopper. Not a huge deal to me since I only load 40 rounds or so a sitting.
