My wheeler FAT wrench just took a dump and im in need of a torque wrench to replace it. Need it for the typical scope bases, rings but also to get to at least 65in/lbs for the stock. My FAT only went to 60 and it was. POS.

Re: Recommend a torque wrench

You may want to consider a dial type torque wrench.

Precision Instruments ( www. Torqwrench.com ) or CDI Torque Products brands are the two I use.

The beauty of the dial type wrench is the direct readout. What you see is what you have ( torque value ). There's no pulling to a click or a release. Also , ease of use, hand placement or extensions have no effect. Again, what you see is the correct value.

I'm not saying the other units are inferior or lesser in quality, just that there are other options.

+1 for the Borka kit. Have a very nice Proto torque screwdriver but it only goes to 30in/lbs the Borka can do much more and is way easier to pack with you.

Obviously, I couldn't say it any clearer. Others take longer to learn.
