I have a sadlak QD post on a Mcmillan stock for use with a harris bipod. I've decided to switch to an Atlas bipod, and ordered all I need today, including the Sadlak HD rail. My plan was to just unscrew the QD post, and bottom plate and screw in the rail since the part thats inside the stock is bedded into it and will fit just fine.
Unfortunately, it appears the QD post and philips screw are epoxied into place. I tried taking the post off by inserting a punch through it and turning, however that just managed to snap the post, so now I can't even use a harris bipod.
Any ideas on how to get these two out? I'd prefer not to strip the baseplate that's bedded into the rifle. I'll try to get pictures tonight.
Basically trying to replace this:
Reinforced QD Post Assembly
With this:
HD Front Rail
