I bought a couple of thousand rounds of LC 7.62 and am in the process of preparing them for reloading. I am measured a random selection of them and have found that they all measure pretty much to the following measurements:

<ul style="list-style-type: disc">[*] Outside Neck = 0.330[*] Inside Neck = 0.298[*] Shoulder = 0.455[/list]

Because the neck is smaller than specifications, does that mean that a neck bushing would not resize it?

Thanks,

You should be full length sizing this brass for your firearm. If you want to use a bushing die, you should start out with approx .002 neck tension, and you would need a bushing .002 smaller than your loaded round neck diameter. Also, you should bump the case shoulders back approx .0015-.002 for YOUR chamber.

If you haven't reloaded cartridges much, get someone experienced to mentor you till you get the hang of things. Go to the SHWW group on the member link up section, and you'll probably find someone close to help

(Also, military brass is generally thicker/heavier than commercial, necessitating perhaps a 2 grain reduction in powder charges.) Good luck!
