Robar NP3

Re: Robar NP3

You can't have the inside of the action done without having the entire action done. It's a dip process. If you like the color of the finish then do the entire action. But, I don't think you can paint over NP3 either - not sure anything would stick to the Teflon.

Looking at gas guns POF sells some of their uppers in NP3. It works great, if you like the color.

Another great option would be to NP3 the bolt ang have Robar apply their Poly-T2 to the action. Both finishes have Teflon in them. I imagine it would result in a very slick bolt travel.

I have an older POF with NP3 on the BCG and inside the action, and the outside is black. I wonder how they did that ?!?

Re: Robar NP3

The only thing I can think of is they coated the upper in NP3 then blasted the outside before painting/coating that. I suppose that might work on aluminum. I think if you tried that on steel there would likely be a parting line between the two coatings that would tend to rust.
