So I finally bit the bullet and ordered one of these beautiful pieces of machinery for for my DTA SRS in .308. Just picked it up today from the post office and everything looks good except the exit hole is 5.6mm (with the 5/8X24 threads, which is a strange combo).

I assume I could just bore it out to accommodate the larger size, but don't have the equipment, etc. to do it. Any ideas/references on someone I could send the brake to to have it fitted for the .308? Don't want to send it back to Roedale and wait another 8 weeks and it should be a fairly simple project, right? Any help/guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Danny

Re: Roedale Precision Muzzle Brake - Help Needed

I just sent a Badger FTE to Mark from SAC (See link in my signature below) to have it opened up for 30 cal projectiles. There might be someone closer, but if you can't find anyone, give Mark a call.

He uses a hardened steel insert pressed in the end, it will require carbide tooling to machine, and someone that knows how to use it.

It will also require a press to push it out and the new one back in.

I'd call Roedale, have him take care of it, it will be a pain to do it right.

Have three emails out to them with no response. I know they are busy, but am hoping they have a satisfactory solution for me when they respond.
