Big Brown delivered my new .223 from William today.

Trued Rem 700
18" Rock 1-8" Sendero
Bedded A3/5
10x PMII
Surgeon DBM
OD gunkote
Waiting on the .223 AI mags from Adam
YHM QD suppressor

Just couldn't stand it so I shot it in the backyard a little while ago. Didn't want to piss off the neighbors so I only shot the following. Not going to post pics of the 3 shot groups (per the rules).

Prone with a bag at 100yards off of the driveway.

75 AMAX, .015 off, Fed 205M, Win brass
25.0 Varget = .81 Wasn't smiling
25.3 Varget = .62
25.6 Varget = .34 Now I'm happy
23.4 IMR 4895 = .32 " " "

I will post pics of 5 shot groups after a little load development.

You shot your gun in your neighborhood? Wow you need to be careful. If it is within city limits it is considered an offense. Depending on state it maybe enough so that you will have to say goodbye to your silencer and guns. But anyway nice groups.

Re: Roscoe built .223

Neighborhood is a loose term. It's outside city limits. Min 5 acre tracks. Most are bigger. I'm on the outer edge with lots of lowland behind. Only need 10 per county. I have 14, and an ar500 1/2" backstop. I think we're covered.

No doubt there's room in the AI mag to chase the lands with a .223 and then some

Re: Roscoe built .223

Its good to see that people are happy with roscoes builds because he is bout to build me a surgeon .308.By the way roscoe how far do you seat off the lands with your rifles?

Re: Roscoe built .223

SS,
Put your fears to rest. Your in good hands.
William will see more work from me.
He also restocked my Patriot Surgeon .243. Shoots like it did with Jered's bedding and the details are just as good.

Hope this helps,
Trilogymac

Re: Roscoe built .223

I got a Roscoe build last week and I can tell you with some load development its gonna be a hammer.
Surgeon Shooter you wont be dissapointed with williams work, he is a real craftsman and pretty anal about detail from what I have seen on my rifle.
Congrats tril on your new stick, it looks great.

Mac

I'm in the lands no less than +.010" with all my rifles. All I shoot is Berger VLD's, 7mm 180's, 6mm 105's & 6.5 130's. If I were shooting the Amaxs, I'd be in the same place.

With SMK's or Scenars, I'd prolly start out of the lands -.005"

It's a sickness Mac, OCD in a good way. I have three dial indicators I keep on my Lathe during metal work. A black face Brown & Sharp .0001" indicator has the final word. No chips hits the floor until it says so
