Just got a Ruger American Predator in 6.5 creed about two months ago, and starting to tinker with it a bit. I took some 600 and 1500 grit sandpaper to the bolt and greased it well, so the zipper sound is thankfully gone. The next thing I've like to do is smooth out the bolt throw. In one YouTube video, a guy mentioned that it can be smoothed out by lightly sanding the back of the bolt body where the cocking piece rides. Has anyone tackled this? Any other DIY mods I should consider?
