Sako TRG-42 w/1-10 twist. CIP Length Magazine?

Gentlemen,
Does anyone know if the Sako 42 in .338 Lapua Magnum have magazines, or have modified the magazine in the new 1-10" twist Rifles, long enough to accommodate CIP OAL Length Cartridges? Essentially opening the way for the 300 grain Scenar, Sierra, etc..

Your input would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, they do have magazines but I can't speak to whether or not they've modified them to accept the 300s

Yes, Matt the new TRG-42s will take 300s (both Scenars and Sierras, as will the older rifles).

I donot know by how much , but I do know the 41/42 338LM mags are longer in lenght than the AI AWSM mags .

I just measured a round I had loaded for my old TRG-41 , and it fits easy in the mag @ 3.707

AI 3.775" magazine front to rear internal distance, TRG-42 3.750"

I GREATLY appreciate the input...

I was under the impression the CIP .338 Lapua length was 3.80"?

Any hands-on input appreciated....
