Yep, it surprised me too. I took the 10PC out of the box, and was curious why there wasn't the extra hole for the accuwedge. The recoil lug has a slot on the aluminum bedding rail where it rides down inside. Super clean setup, and no bedding required.

Pics will be coming soon. I have to take my wife to the hospital in Denver, so I will post pics of it when we get back on Wednesday.

I love this thing!!

From all accounts, it seems there was just too many people complaining about it. As usual, Savage listens to it's customer base!!

Unless of course, you are talking about high capacity detachable magazines for anything other than the BAS rifles.

What were the customers complaining about? I don't have a problem with the accu-wedge in my M-10PC.
My only complante with the M-10PC is the accu-trigger not cocking everytime I close the bolt. I wonder if they will exchange it for a Timmney?

They broke if you tightened them too much.

Have you tried adding more pull weight to the trigger or, are you side loading the trigger as you lower the bolt.

Those are the most common two things that keep the sear from seating.

From what I heard concerning the accutrigger, people were having a hard time getting the proper procedure for re-installing the action after taking it apart. It became such an issue that I remember seeing the procedure printed out somewhere.

All I know is, I absolutely love mine!! It is super clean and I really like how straight forward the design is where the detachable magazine is concerned. About the only thing that would make any of this better would be the detachable magazine holding a few more rounds.

I know there are other options out there for this situation, but I prefer to keep as much cash in my pocket as I can. The cost doesn't equal the benefit to me at this time.

Re: Savage 10PC Accustock W/O ACCUWEDGE!!

I love my Savages.. but at some point they need to pick a good design and stick with it. Having 5 versions is making the aftermarket arena and secondary market a mess. What they need to do:

1. Pick one action type
2. Develope a good box/detatchable magazine
3. One action screw spacing
4. One bolt release type
5. One bedding system

I like that they listen to their customers.. but maybe they should not jump the gun so quick and make dumb decisions for marketing publicity. Build a quality standard product and let the aftermark help drive your success. (ala' Rem 700)

Sorry for the rant.. but it was over due. I'm actually glad they go rid of the accuwedge.
