Does anyone know if Mcrees will ever be manufacturing their G10 for the SA Savages? I love my two G7's so much that id really like another Mcrees but i want something different simply for the heck of it. My buddy is ordering a G10 and im jealous as it appears i cant get one for a savage.

What actions are you currently running on your two G7's? Although Savage actions can be decent after some truing, you would probably be better off going a different route. If you go with an affordable action that does not need to be blueprinted, such as a Tikka or Stiller Tac30, you will get a true bang for your buck.

I'm running a Stevens 200 action in one G7(same as a Savage model 10 round back) and I've got a Savage Varmint action aka Savage LRP in the other. Neither has been trued and the LRP shoots sub 1/2" MOA every single time. The Stevens is about a 3/4" to moa at 100 but they are booth very good shooters for me.

Accord, I actually wanted to buy a Remington 700 as my next gun buildup but I just aquired a .308 Savage Bull barrel and a Bull Barrelled Savage 22-250. So kind of as luck would have it, I'm currently sitting on a stash of Savage actioned rigs two of which have been set in chassis' and two still have the floppy plastic junk stocks. Maybe I should sell two of the Savages in their stock form and buy a Remmy. Thanks for the reply.
