My experience with other brands is that an FFP scope is more expensive. I started looking at the Schmidt and bender 12-50x56 scopes and noticed that the FFP p3 12-50 is cheaper than the 12-50x56 SFP.

Can any one explain why this is?

Thanks!

Re: Schmidt Bender ? SFP FFP Prices

My only guess is the 12-50 is primarily used in benchrest. Benchrest usually calls for SFP because the reticle gets thinner as you increase magnification, where as FFP "stays the same" or appears to increase in size. The SFP covers up less of the target, so the SFP is in more demand at that mag range.
