School me, which Trigger Tech should I get?

I'm thinking about upgrading the trigger on my Begara B14R. I see a Tigger Tech Diamond, Special, and Primary. Which one is the best value for the money? Is the Diamond really worth $85 more than the Primary? Help me decide.

I have the TT Special 2 stage and like it a lot, the only real difference is the pull weight, think it's the same for the single stage triggers, Diamond will get you a lower pull weight.

Your decision is dictated by the lowest pull weight you want. Nothing else.

Go Diamond and be done with it, goes up to 32oz if you dont want it super low, after using all sorts of other triggers like jewel and timney calvin elite then switching to the diamond last year its all I will run now.

I really like the Diamond in my B14r. If I were in the market for a trigger now, I would hold off for Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales. I was able to get Diamonds for $215 +free shipping during 4th of July sales.

I'll be the voice of dissent here, I'm not personally a fan of extremely light triggers. I have a Special on my B14R, and a Primary on my 700. Extremely happy with both. They feel nearly the same at their lowest settings, pull gauge has the primary at 1.2 lb and the special at 1lb. Maybe I just got a good Primary, but the special was not worth the additional cost in my small sample size.

I like a 1.5lb trigger and I'm happy with my TT Primary.

The primary goes to 1.5 and the special goes to 1.0. That’s the only difference. Also, most trigger pull scales are not exact. Just close. And dependent on several things.

So you should not “feel“ any difference whatsoever other than the weight. As such, you should not expect one to be worth more than the other if you’re going to run them around the same weight.


The choice of triggertech triggers is 100% on the lowest weight you want to run. Nothing else. They are the same otherwise.

The Special with a flat shoe is what i have standardized on, i typically run between 1.2-1.5# pull weight
Just pick the pull weight you prefer as mentioned over and over and one more time and be happy.

I like the special set at 1.2 to 1.5 lbs. I dont like running anything on the extreme end of adjustment, so spent the extra few bucks over the primary.

I run Specials on the hunting rigs and Diamonds on bench rifles. Very happy with both.

Diamond - its and excellent trigger, and worth the price.

I prefer I diamond on a bench or F-class type rifle to get the really low weight. For a PRS rifle the special works perfect for me since I try to run 1.2-1.5lbs.

I have been using the diamond in several platforms for 1.5 years no and I really like it!! Mine is set to about 10 oz and works great!

Just cant get as low on trigger pull as the diamond
