Shooting into the air in a residential area is not a very bright act. If the thing is hovering over your house in a residential area it would serve you well to find the person operating the thing and advise him of your dislike along with the notification to police of his actions. I don't think regulations have caught up to these craft yet and what the police can do is not much. But they will definitely nail you to the wall for misusing a firearm. Especially in states like NJ.
