Seal Team 6 recovers bodies, sterilizes crash site - I first posted this a couple days ago. USAF E11 node ac went down over Taliban controlled territory. Apparently they took my suggestion and went into recover bodies and destroy sensitive equipment. Questions remain though like...how many were on board. This article says two bodies. Other articles said 5 bodies.

The Taliban have said US forces would be "allowed" to recover the bodies. "allowed".....Yeeeaah.

Holy shit. I had to google that aircraft to see what it is. That's a pretty sophisticated piece of equipment. I used to think the STT's were fancy comms toys.

    Hi,

The crash site had visited and picked over by locals long before body recovery.....just look at all the pictures of locals and such there, well before recovery mission launched.

I posted pictures that were 5 hours after the crash; in your other thread about this. Area was nothing but locals.

    Sincerely,
    Theis

I can't belive the Taliban didn't rip that plane apart getting out whatever equipment, burned or otherwise, they could. Also can't believe they didn't snatch the bodies to hold them for ransom. I ain't been there and I ain't done that but man if a plane carrying sensitive equipment went down the first thing I'd do is send in airstrikes. Sure I consider trying to get the bodies out but destroying gear comes first.

You do realize "Taliban" is a rather broad brush, right?

Perhaps the Taliban noticed we the USA do not have a pussy for a president anymore.

You mess with us, the hot tip of the spear will be curing your hemorrhoids before you can get your clothes back on after cavorting with your neighbor’s goat.

Either way. May our troops departed rest in peace and this hopefully will give their families some peace and closure.

Much of the equipment now is software defined, and once it's powered off, it's just a bunch of logic circuits which hold no intelligence value. There are likely some other items that need to be sanitized.

Taliban might have had that lesson when Mattis was allowed to drop a MOAB on one of their cave complexes but all this talk about negotiation and the death by 1000 cuts tactics they are employing indicates they need a Sulimani Moment.

A crew member on that A/C hailed from north of here in a small town in NH.

    Double tragedy for them.

They lost this airman as well as a female that was a PO down south who died when during a car stop she was dragged and killed.

They will both be buried within days of each other.

Yeah, and that family in NH...both parents work for my company (corporate email went out yesterday). A damned shame...
