Second Civil War Poll

I’m surprised it’s that low. Pretty much everyone I talk to is certain the left will keep escalating.
I don't want to sound like I'm advocating or hoping for it but it is a lot of steps from where we are are at before we get to what most of us would consider a civil war. I have not seen any state that truly looks ready to succeed nor any military unit that would be prepared to join with and fight to the death for a Leftist State that left America. I do have to wonder if that is why the political left keeps demanding that the military take gays, transvestites, and and other weirdos. Even if they got enough of them, it still would not help because they are never going to be a combat effective unit.
What I expect are more riots and chaos. They believe that they can make America ungovernable and force the changes they want.

I'm in but only if we also get to shoot any 'journalists' that decide to show up.
If we had a 2nd civil war (we wont; I explained this in another thread earlier), the 'journalists' will be the ones culpable for it.
The only escalation I see is the liberals realizing that whining and bitching about things while staying in the inner city or places like Berkely are useless. They will eventually try to take it outside into the suburbs and more rural places across the country where the reaction won't be the same and the people there are already sick of your bullshit and have no problem shooting you in the fucking face if it came down to it. Their logistical lines will be nonexistent and they will go home with a bloody nose. This will simply show us that we need a 2nd Amendment from things other than corrupt politicians; we need it against crazy fucking liberals who have now shown they want to engage in actual violence.

Anyway, the left would have to decide on a flag. They would never get past that. I'm all for taking a few stars off our flag.
The German makes an excellent point. The corollary is that if we ever need to get riots tamped down real quick all we would need to do is hold the "pot stirring" Journalists and politicians accountable and the pot will come off boil fast.

I think everyone will realize that no one wants a President Mike Pence and they will grit their teeth and let the President have his 4 years. It is a good play to keep Trump as President because he is more than willing to work with both sides. Unlike Mike Pence who is very much a hard-liner.
The simple fact that "civil war" is part of the mainstream curriculum of discussion is the poignant fact in itself. 20 years ago, such speech would have been labeled as "sedition".

It certainly feels like it but remember what started the last one. It wasn't slaves, it wasn't states rights, it wasn't any of the other bullshit they throw around. It happened for one reason and one reason only:

The Civil War already started. Right now it's a soft insurgency. The limo burned on inaug day, the shooting of the Rep ball game, ANTIFA's various little encounters and all the threats and harassment against Republicans. The War is on...but conservatives have not decided to fight back yet. Libs want to bring the Govt. crashing down so they can come in and save the day with free stuff and gun confiscation. BTW they are losing. The closer they get to defeat the more dangerous it will become.

The left is relentlessly moving to a more sharply polarized position. Even the leaders are smart enough to see the rise in left side extremism and it's complete lack of civility. However, the mistake the left leadership is making is not dealing with the extremism. It won't be possible to put on the brakes soon enough and the "violent" left will make an error of disastrous proportions.

I wouldn't mind 8 years of President Pence after another 6 years of President Trump.
Pence looks like the kind of guy that would not be afraid to put the boots directly to all the communists and SJW type in a quiet efficient manner, no tweets, no rambling speeches, just communists learning to fly as the sun comes up over a nice calm ocean.

Rebilion against kings is the only choice and a foregone conclusion at some point. There will be an especially tyrannical king under whom it is better to die than live in total oppression. Our Republic was an attempt to (among other things) create a system that could slowly change without violence. The left wants radical change, and they demand it now. They WILL resort to violence because not only are they completely ignorant of our history and the history of their own ideology, but they are completely ignorant of ANY history (a prerequisite for being a socialist/communist).

Note that these places produce, for the most part, nothing. Movies, lawsuits, stock markets, tourism.
Note, too, that the Japanese could not hold on to an archipelago that produced nothing... for even 3 years. Islands are easily isolated, reduced and conquered. Especially when they have large, unsupplied and under-armed defenders. For all the vaunted strength of the Japanese Army, they were conscripts fighting to glorious death. But they were badly supplied, badly trained, badly led (for the most part their officers were miserable tyrants) and their only asset was a willingness to die for the emperor.
Marines, soldiers and sailors... and in reality, not that many of them... supplied with food, fuel, manufactured goods, arms, etc. from the 'producing' parts of America (which once upon a time included this archepelago were able to turn an island foe into ashes in 3 years.
I wonder if snowflakes are so motivated...
