First impressions of new suppressor, a 30 cal. Shadow XL TI.
Our rifle range line is all concrete and hase a tin roof. When I shoot I have to wear foam plugs as well as earmuffs. It is very loud.
Shot 6 rounds yesterday at 100 yards in pretty good conditions, mild breeze but little mirage at that distance. Started shooting with just earmuffs and no pain from loud noise. Then shot with just plugs and no problem with noise. I even shot without hearing protection and no problem. That said I already wear hearing aid so I'll be shooting with foam plugs so as to avoid an more hearing damage.
The rifle was zeroed a few weeks ago but conditions yesterday were of course different than the day a zeroed it. So for this test I assumed it is zeroed.
Now for the important and surprising results, at least to me.
I shot 6 shots, all the ammo I had and waited 5 minutes between shoots. The result were one ragged hole. There was a POI shift from zero of 1/2" to the right and 3/4" down.
I am not going to compare my suppressor to any others out there as I have no scientific information to do so.
I think anyone who buys one of these will be very happy to buy such a well engineered and manufactured suppressor.
