Remington 40XB Accuracy Test
Group measurements are from center to center of extreme spread. All groups are five shots.
Equipment:
Rifle stock 40XB except for trigger reworked and trigger weight spring replacement.
Redfield Palma rear sight and Olympic front sight.
Caldwell front rest and Eagle rear bag.
Rifle held tight and not free recoil.
Conditions:
Temperature 90+ deg. F
Wind 1 to 3 knots from 1 to 2 O’clock
Humidity approx. 90%+
Sky light over cast
Time 10:00 to 11:00 am

I find it interesting that the best (most expensive) ammo did no better than the cheapest. The two middle of the road target loads was heads above the other two. Goes to show that you never know what a 22 will like.
