He must have got the AR while trooper was walking up cause otherwise I don’t see how the trooper didn’t get the drop in him. Wielding an AR inside a car isn’t the easiest thing unless it was a pistol and even then it wouldn’t be quick.
Wielding an ar in a car, doesnt have to be fast.
Slow is smooth, smooth is fast, adding that the trooper was in traffic citation mode, not felony stop.
Shooter was a plan in motion, and shot first. Trooper was behind the curve and playing catch up.
Caught by surprise in the open, bullets through shooters back window at him,
Thought 1. Traffic citation, maybe a verbal warning.
Thought 2. Oh shit !!!! WTF is....
Shooter only needs 3-5 seconds once committed to the plan.
Trooper cant respond fast enough in 3-5 seconds.
Man with gun in hand in motion intent to fire.
Trooper with holstered gun.
I dont remember any historical event where a holstered gun was ever brought into play faster than the "gun in hand"
Several incidents of both with gun in hand, the person who starts first with absolute intent the majority of the time beats the gun in hand reactor.
Speed and violence of action with planned intent easily overcomes reactors.
Too easy.
