For xmas I am looking to get my brother in law a side port muzzle brake for his CA Ridgeline in 30 Nosler. The radial brake just isn't cutting it.
This is his hunting rifle, we carry ear pro in the field but would like a muzzle brake that is good at reducing recoil and muzzle jump but one that also does not direct a ton of blast back towards the shooter.
Originally I was thinking Area419 Sidewinder but have read its pretty bad about directing blast towards the shooter. I am leaning towards the PVA Shockwave.
Criteria:
- The least amount of back blast
- Recoil/muzzle jump reduction
- Easy self timing installation
Would greatly appreciate some personal testimonies on various brakes. Thanks
