Has anyone used this bullet at 30-30 velocities on big game (north east Whitetails)? I ran across them on line and there doesn't seem to be much info on them for big game animals.

Have you called Sierra in Sedalia? They’ll know the velocity window for best expansion. Nice folks working there the few times I’ve stopped by.

I haven’t used this particular bullet but I have used 22 caliber versions. I won’t use them on quarry larger than 10 pounds.

For 30-30 velocities I have decent results from lino type cast using a gas check. YMMB

Says they perform at all 30 caliber velocities. That’s a pretty wide range in 30-30, anywhere from 1700 ish to 2200 plus. What’s your normal 30-30 load?

I used them in 300blk. They expanded like an HP down to about 1400fps...after that they tumbled. They have been out of stock in most places for quite a while

I just picked up my first 30-30 rifle, a Savage 219. It's a break open single shot. So bullet shape doesn't matter. I was browsing different bullets, loads, and came across this bullet. It looked good for the 30-30 velocity range. I know it's a varmint bullet meant for faster cartridges, but at lower velocities some varmint bullets act like regular big game bullets.
