Slow Proof 6.5prc prefit?

Curious if anyone else has seen this. I have a Terminus Apollo Lite with a 24" proof cf 7.5 twist. I'm at about 50 rounds down the barrel so far. Tried 2 different factory ammos, chrono'd using Garmin Xero C1.

147 Hornady Match: 2845fps Avg over 10 shots, box states 2910fps

Berger 140 Elite Hunter: 2820fps Avg over 10 shots, box states 3109fps

almost 300fps below the Berger advertised fps, this seems WAY off to me, or does this happen with Proofs from time to time?

I would probably give it some more time. The last Proof barrel I ran took about 200 rounds before it settled in, I thought it would never speed up but it did finally speed up. I don't think it picked up 300 fps though, closer to 200.

The Bergers are 10% below advertised speed and that is more than I would expect. If the Hornady match ammo is shooting only 65 fps below advertised on a relatively fresh barrel (2845 fps is only 2.2% below 2910 fps), I don't think it's the barrel. If you're not getting high pressure signs, SD are good, and it's grouping well, I'd just shoot it and check back after another 50-100 rounds.

It shoots both great at 100, the es and sd are better on the Berger stuff though. Hoping she speeds up a little
